*Marc Ecko's Getting-Up

The first video game devoted to graff.

From the trailer on the website this game looks really tight. The concept of the game is that you start of as a toy and slowly work your way to an all city king. Talib Qwali is the voice of 'Trane' (your character) along side your in house mentors of the likes of Cope2, Seen, Smith, Obey, Futura and T-Kid. The game apparently took 7 years to make and from all accounts was well worth the wait.

*The Breaks - sample source

This site lists just about every sample. Ever wonder what drums Shadow used on "Midnight in a Perfect World"?

Sneakology - Nike Air Jordan III

These by far are my favorite sneakers. These classics dropped in 1988 (retroed in 1994 & 2001) and looked like no other shoe. The cement paneling, the contrasting red highlights on the black and grey body simply work so well. As the story goes, Jordan at the time was unhappy with how Nike was treating him and with the shoes they we're creating. In despiration Nike turned to the head of their speacial projects team to create a head snaping shoe. The pressure was placed on the shoulders of a young Tinker Hatfield. The Jordan III was Tinker's creation and from then on Micheal pledged his loyalty and Tinker became none as employee number 23.
